Adoption Process

BEFORE YOU APPLY, please review our adoption contract , which  outlines all of our requirements for adopting one of our dogs.   If you cannot comply with ALL of the contract terms and requirements, please do not apply.
An adoption application, interview, vet reference, two personal  references, and a home visit are required prior to approval.  All human, canine and/or feline family members must meet the new pet prior to adoption.

Adopters are responsible for confirming with their home owner’s insurance company that their policy does not have any breed specifications and that there will be no lapse in coverage.  Adopters who are part of a HOA or rental community must confirm that there is no breed specific legislation in their community.
Adopters must be at least 21 years of age and demonstrate responsible ownership, including spay/neuter of current pets, and have previous dominant large breed  or other working breed dog experience.
We will not place a dog in a home with children under 6 years of age unless we know that dog has lived or has been in foster care with a child of a similar age.
