 June Update

Greetings from the volunteers at the rescue! I think we've finally gotten out of Winter's grips -- the Mother's Day snow storm kinda surprised us. But we hearty New Englanders are not eaisly fooled. Mother Nature holds ALL of the cards!

The volunteers all have a soft spot for the senior dogs -- dogs who are abandoned after living their lives with a family and are suddenly inconvenient or unwanted. Akasha, Princess, Lola, Luther, Max and Tyke are the dogs we've brought into the rescue in the last month. These dogs come with high veterinary expenses and we place them without adoption fees. Consider donating to one of these dogs this month -- saving a life, and helping a dog who devoted his/her life to someone who couldn't do the same.

We saw Sue off to her new home in Nashville last month and boy do we miss her presence at events and the kennel. While she's still answering calls/emails, her smiling face is missing every day. Check in with her if you haven't already.

Many of our fosters take time off for the summer to vacation -- and we are in need of both temperary and longer-term foster homes. Previous adopters and approved applicants are encouraged to volunteer -- but if you're in Northern New England, we need you! Let us know if you can help.

I'm Donation my Birthday to the Dogs

On June 28, I will be 54 years old. The last 20 years have been spent saving dogs. I am asking you all to help me to raise $2000 for the dogs by donating $54 (or multiples/ fractions thereof) to my fundraiser. Your donation will save lives and give me cause to celebrate!

To those who participated in our Spring Auction -- we raised more than $2300 for the dogs. THANK YOU to all who bid, donated and shared our event.

Kylee is a very sweet, adult rottie mix girl. Her adorable perky ears are the only thing that convince us that she's a "not-weiler". Kylee is dog social and loves affection. Cats unknown. Kids over 8  More about Kylee

A return adoption, 7 year old Tyson is as sweet and loving as they come. He is good with dogs, but NO KITTIES for this boy. Tyson is very well trained, and participates with the offenders at the Cheshire County Jail. More about Tyson

Kilo was found with her "sister" Mina and their 9 puppies in a barn in Mississippi. She has been treated for heartworm, and her other family members adopted. Kilo is in foster care with other dogs, cats and children, and is a sweetheart! More about Kilo
