Found in Harlem (NY) weighing 43 lbs, this four year old rottie girl forgives and is moving along with life. Victoire (pronounced vick-TWA, but also answers to Victoria, Vicki-Two and Tori) wiggles and dances and is happy about every ounce of affection she gets. She gets along with all other dogs of all sizes and genders and is safe with cats. She is house trained, crate trained and rides well in the car. She is learning basic manners and leash walking skills - something that her former owners neglected (along with her meals, apparently). Victoire is very excited around food (so would I, if I were starved) and will knock the bowl out of your hand if you're not paying attention. She is working on sit-stay for her meals. Her previous protectiveness of her bowl has basically subsided and is completely manageable. She also has the unfortunate habit of raiding the trash bin for left overs. Because of this, Victoire is not appropriate for novice owners or small children. Kids over 14 are fine. Victoire warms the hearts of everyone she meets and has a dynamic personality to accompany her affectionate nature. She looks forward to spending the remainder of her life as someone's cherished family member. Victoire is being fostered in southern Maine with two other dogs and three cats.
